Software Development Engineer II
Amazon
Are you an engineer who wants to own systems that actually matter — not just maintain them? Seller Fees Tech (SFT) Bangalore is one of Amazon's newest engineering organizations, formed in October 2025 with a clear mandate: build and own the financial systems that power how over two million sellers are charged, incentivized, and rewarded across Amazon's global marketplaces. We are not a satellite team running someone else's roadmap. Every technical decision, architecture call, and product delivery for our four charters is owned end-to-end from Bangalore.
What You'll Be Part Of Our 50-member team brings together Software Engineers, Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Engineers, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Applied Scientists — all co-located in Bangalore. This cross-functional density means you won't just write code in isolation. You'll collaborate directly with scientists building scoring models, analysts investigating financial anomalies, and PMs translating complex business requirements into engineering problems. You'll understand the full picture of what you build and why it matters.
The Technical Moment You're Joining Across all four of our charters — Incentives, Fee Change Management Platform, Fee Expansion, and AWD Fees — we are in the middle of a foundational architecture overhaul. That means:
You won't inherit years of accumulated technical debt and be asked to patch it. You'll be designing and building systems the right way, from the ground up.
In Incentives, we are replacing batch-driven legacy jobs with an event-driven enrollment engine, introducing a unified Incentive Policy model, and building an AI-assisted configuration pipeline that reduces program onboarding from 7 weeks to under 1 week.
In Fee Change Management and Fee Expansion, we are building self-service tooling that eliminates manual engineering touchpoints for every fee program launch across 13+ global marketplaces.
Across all charters, you'll work on systems processing billions of financial transactions — where correctness, scale, and low latency are non-negotiable
GenAI is Part of How We Engineer This isn't a team that talks about GenAI as a future aspiration. We are actively embedding AI-assisted development into our engineering workflow — from code generation to configuration validation to anomaly detection in financial pipelines. As an SDE2 here, you'll develop hands-on fluency with these tools as part of your day-to-day craft, putting you ahead of the curve as the industry shifts.
What This Role Offers You Ownership at the right level — SDEs here own features end-to-end
