We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer who's energized by the challenge of maintaining 99.999% availability while serving billions of requests daily. As a key member of our Tier 1 services team, you'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing systems where every millisecond matters and reliability is non-negotiable. In this role, you'll dive deep into complex distributed systems challenges that directly impact Amazon's core shopping experience. You'll architect and implement sophisticated caching solutions, design real-time monitoring systems, and build auto-recovery mechanisms that keep our services running flawlessly. Your code will need to perform consistently across global regions, handle massive traffic spikes gracefully, and maintain optimal latency under heavy loads.
