About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include
School Setting One-on-One Support
- Work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or related conditions in a school setting.
- Support children across various domains, including behaviour, emotions, social skills, and academics, using evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Implement individualized goals and track progress through structured observation logs.
- Send daily progress updates to parents.
- Prepare monthly progress reports to document growth across developmental domains.
- Receive intensive one-on-one initial training from specialized mentors in the field of psychology.
Comprehensive/Remedial Sessions Role:
Home Setting
- Conduct one-on-one self-planned sessions focusing on child development areas such as behaviour, remedial learning, sensory skills, social skills, cognitive development, emotions, and daily living skills.
- Build rapport and trust with the child at their own pace.
- Design and execute personalized intervention plans targeting emotional, behavioural, and developmental goals.
- Collaborate with senior psychologists for case guidance, supervision, and reflection.
- Build confidence in handling sessions independently with continuous senior mentorship.
