This role requires approximately 25–40% travel to global manufacturing sites to support site assessments, technology deployments, and user training.
The Senior Solutions Deployment Engineer is responsible for deploying and enabling digital manufacturing technologies across Medtronic manufacturing sites globally. This role partners closely with manufacturing teams, technology product owners, and IT to implement solutions to enable Manufacturing Shopfloor Management, and other operational technologies. The position focuses on assessing site readiness, configuring and deploying applications, ensuring data accuracy, supporting change management, and providing post‑deployment support to ensure successful adoption and measurable operational value.
The Senior Solutions Deployment Engineer role requires strong collaboration, technical understanding of digital manufacturing tools, and the ability to influence stakeholders across global teams. Travel to manufacturing sites is required to conduct assessments, support deployments, and train local teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy digital manufacturing technologies across global manufacturing sites, including solutions to enable Manufacturing Shopfloor Management.
- Configure applications and ensure system setups align with site operational structures and reporting needs.
- Validate and confirm data accuracy within deployed applications to ensure reliable operational insights and reporting.
- Partner directly with manufacturing site teams to support technology implementation and operational adoption.
- Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate manufacturing operations, digital readiness, and infrastructure requirements.
- Map site operational hierarchies to align deployed technologies with management and operational review structures.
- Evaluate existing site technologies and systems that may serve as data sources for digital solutions.
- Collaborate with local IT teams to assess infrastructure readiness and technical integration requirements.
- Identify and coordinate necessary hardware requirements including displays, computers, and other supporting equipment.
- Lead the deployment process including system configuration, implementation, and go‑live activities.
- Provide post‑deployment “hypercare” support following implementation to ensure successful adoption and issue resolution.
- Deliver user training and support onboarding of site personnel who will operate and maintain deployed technologies.
- Identify and enable site “super users” who will sustain and improve the solutions after deployment.
- Support change management activities including project kickoffs, stakeholder engagement, readiness reviews, and training coordination.
- Conduct readiness reviews prior to system go‑live to confirm data, configuration, and stakeholder alignment.
- Collaborate with internal change management experts to leverage training materials and adoption strategies.
- Work closely with technology product owners and digital solution teams to ensure deployments align with product capabilities and roadmap.
- Coordinate with global and local IT partners to enable successful system implementation and integration.
- Participate in regular operational reviews, including weekly program reviews, to report progress, highlight risks, and escalate issues.
- Contribute to monthly team reviews, staff meetings, and broader digital transformation initiatives.
MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)
- 4+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of experience with an advanced degree
NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience in Manufacturing, Operations, and/or Regulated Environments.
- Experience supporting global or multi-site teams.
- Trained and Hands-on experience with Data platforms, BI tools, or Analytics ecosystems (PowerBI, Tableau, Ignition SCADA, among others)
- Trained and Hands-on experience on Scrum and Agile methodologies, and Software Product Ownership. (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO/PM).
- Trained or Hands-on experience troubleshooting and programming PLC controls (AB-Rockwell, Siemens, others).
- Trained or Hands-on experience configuring and programming SCADA platforms like Ignition.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
