We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle Database Developer / Oracle Performance Tuning Specialist with 10+ years of hand-on experience in Oracle database technologies. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Oracle SQL Performance tuning, SQL, PLSQL development, oracle Golden Gate, and Exadata environments and provide SME support in State Street for various in-house ETL Applications. The job entails resolving developer problems and maintaining application resiliency in State Street.

What you will be responsible for
As a Oracle Database Engineer and Performance Tuning Specialist you will
Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize complex SQL queries to improve database performance.
Perform advanced SQL and PL/SQL code reviews and tuning activities
Identify and resolve database bottlenecks, locking issues, deadlocks and performance degradation.
Monitor database performance using Oracle tools such as AWR, ASH, ADDM and execution plans.
Design, Develop, test and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers and views

Develop scalable and efficient PL/SQL solutions adhering to coding standards and best practices
Support database design, data modelling and schema optimization initiatives.
Design, configure, implement, and support oracle GolenGate replication solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot replication processes, latency issues and data synchronization challenges.
Ensure data integrity and consistency across source and target
Provide production support for database-related incidents
Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
Participate in on-call support and critical issue resolution when required.
Collaborate with application teams and infrastructure teams.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
Expert Oracle Programming and DDL & DML knowledge
Excellent knowledge on Oracle database objects (especially indexes, Partitioning and Views), database architecture and various components
Proven expertise in Oracle SQL Performance tuning and query Optimization
Hands-on experience with Oracle Golden Gate implementation and support
Strong experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming.
Strong working knowledge of Exadata and Cloud environments.
Experience in troubleshooting complex databases and application performance issues.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Additional requirements
Knowledge of Azure and Snowflake services is a plus
Knowledge in Financial domain is a plus
