Senior Healthcare & Life Sciences Solutions Architect, HCLS

At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we are seeking a Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS) Solutions Architect to join our HCLS organization within AWS Industries. In this role, you will help shape and deliver our strategy for global HCLS customers and partners, partnering with some of the world's largest healthcare and life sciences companies to design cloud architectures that address their industry-specific business challenges and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.

As a Solutions Architect, you will be at the forefront of helping customers succeed using AWS technologies — linking technology with measurable business value for healthcare and life sciences organizations. You will have technical depth, business aptitude, and the ability to lead in-depth technology discussions, articulating the value of the AWS platform to Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, Cloud Architects, Directors, VPs, and CXOs.

You will craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures, assist organizations in understanding best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and help migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to define or invent cloud-native reference architectures for a variety of use cases (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Serverless and Container-based architectures, Analytics and Big Data, DevOps, and Security). In collaboration with account management, professional services, support, product teams, and the AWS partner ecosystem, you will formulate and execute strategies to build mind-share and broad use of AWS within enterprise customers.

Key job responsibilities This role ensures success in building and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform for Healthcare and Life Sciences customers. In partnership with account management, the Solutions Architect formulates and executes customer engagement strategies that drive meaningful cloud adoption outcomes.

A central responsibility is building prototypes, proofs of concept, and demonstration assets that showcase AWS capabilities — particularly in AI/ML, Generative AI, and data/analytics — tailored to HCLS use cases. This extends to educating customers on the AWS value proposition, participating in deep architectural discussions, and conducting enablement sessions that accelerate their path to production.

Staying current on emerging AI/ML technologies and cloud-native patterns is essential, translating that knowledge into actionable guidance, reference architectures, and customer-facing publications such as whitepapers. The role builds deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customer organizations, enabling them to become cloud advocates. It also serves as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support, while capturing and sharing best-practice knowledge across the AWS Solutions Architect community.
