Current strategic pursuits

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for high-performance data capture systems. We have the mission of "Capturing, Storing and Transforming" the world's capital markets data. In this critical role, you’ll be an integral member of a team managing the data pipeline that flows between each of those stages. The role has a large operational component while also requiring someone to envision future growth in both utilization and technology selection for the components of work.

Work qualifications

- 5 to 7+ years of professional experience with Linux, preferably RHEL or RHEL derived distributions (CentOS, Rocky Linux, AlmaLinux)

- 5+ years of experience with scripting languages Bash and/or Python

- Significant experience using Ansible to develop and maintain playbooks and roles to automate server provisioning and configuration management

- Proficiency with Linux and an understanding of Linux server architecture and operation including performance and latency tuning

- Experience designing, deploying, and managing containerized applications using Docker, Podman or other containerization technology in production environments

- Should be very comfortable with data copying, scheduling tasks and Linux daemons

- Extensive experience with application deployments and OS updates, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies for potential failures

- Experience with Git-based version control systems, such as GitLab and/or GitHub and managing pipeline in these products

- Basic networking knowledge and ability to interpret Wireshark/tcpdump capture output

- Experience with AWS, S3, AWS CLI, and Rsync

- English proficiency is required

- Must be willing to work US Eastern hours for the first 6 months during initial training
