About the RoleTo implement data quality process and procedures, ensuring that data is reliable and trustworthy, then extract actionable insights from it to help the organisation improve its operation, and optimise resources.
Responsibilities
Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification.
Execution of data cleansing and transformation tasks to prepare data for analysis.
Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
Development and application of advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning and AI, to solve complex business problems.
Documentation of data quality findings and recommendations for improvement.
To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
Collaborate closely with other functions/business divisions.
Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function.
Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives and determination of reward outcomes.
Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc) to solve problems creatively and effectively.

Qualifications
Well-versed hands-on experience in data analysis or performing a data-focused Tech BA role.
Working across a complex technical and business stakeholder matrix (multi-geography) to efficiently create process flows and detailed technical requirements.
Technical analysis of data migration projects covering database & table level details, reconciliation, and SAS process migrations.
Creating & maintaining Data Dictionaries, Metadata, Data Lineage, Mapping documentation, API Catalogues, and interface inventories supporting OLAP and OLTP capabilities.
Strong SQL query writing abilities for small to medium complexity requirements.
Strong SAS software experience performing ad-hoc analysis and BAU reporting with minimum 2 years hands-on experience.
Exposure to Python programming for data analysis; automation, and scripting.
Working with large datasets on data extraction, cleaning, analysis, and presentation.
Understanding and implementation of Technology Application Delivery and Data Management control frameworks.
Knowledge of Apache Spark, Databricks and AWS cloud services.
Tableau or other data visualization tools (Power BI, Qlik, etc.) for creating interactive dashboards and reports.
Required Skills
Practical agile methodology experience; defining business outcomes, creating portfolio epics and user stories.
SAS Certified Base and/or Advanced Programmer certifications.
Hands-on experience in data streaming, ETL, data quality, data reconciliation, data processing, data warehousing preferably on AWS.
Experience in batch and real-time warehousing.
Advanced Python libraries experience (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn) for data manipulation and visualization.
PySpark for distributed data processing and big data analytics.
AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Data Engineering).
Advanced Tableau/Power BI skills including calculated fields, parameters, and dashboard optimization.
Banking and financial services exposure specifically in fraud detection.
Experience working in large matrix organizations and a track record of results working with senior stakeholders.
Ability to work independently with minimum guidance and shape abstract situations.
Flexibility to overlap with US, UK and India time zones on a need basis.
Superior drive for results with ability to juggle priorities, multi-task and execute flawlessly at speed.
