The Client & Customer Experience Data Strategy & Analytics team is seeking a Senior Business Product Owner responsible for driving the foundational data product supporting the Coverage Review Organization (CRO) and Client Services & Operations Organization (Client).
This role is responsible for defining product strategy, managing the backlog, and ensuring delivery of high-quality, governed, and scalable data solutions that enable improved operational visibility, analytics, and decision-making. The Product Owner will collaborate across business and technology teams to centralize data within an enterprise warehouse, enforce data governance standards, and deliver prioritized capabilities that drive measurable value.
The ideal candidate combines strong product ownership, healthcare business knowledge, and data/analytics expertise to translate complex business needs into actionable product delivery.
This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates in select geographies. Candidates who reside within 50 miles of the following locations will be required to perform onsite 3 days per week: Bloomfield, CT; Chattanooga, TN; Denver, CO; St Louis, MO; and Scottsdale, AZ.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Strategy
Serve as Product Owner for CRO and Client foundational data products, owning backlog, prioritization, and delivery outcomes
Define and maintain product roadmaps aligned to business strategy, stakeholder needs, and enterprise priorities
Evaluate and articulate business value and ROI to inform prioritization of roadmap items
Promote adoption of modern data, analytics, and digital capabilities
Requirements & Backlog Management
Facilitate requirements gathering and stakeholder alignment sessions across CRO and Client organizations

Ensure deliverables meet quality, timeline, and business expectations
Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers, and proactively drive resolution
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with business leaders, engineers, UX/design teams, architects, data governance, and scrum masters
Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical delivery
Coordinate across Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and shared services teams
Seek clarity from stakeholders when requirements are ambiguous or conflicting
Partner with global and domestic team members to drive work forward and determine the best owner of work items
Data Strategy & Governance
Drive centralization of data assets into enterprise data platforms (warehouse/lakehouse environments)
Ensure adherence to data governance standards, including metadata, access controls, and enterprise definitions
Partner with customers to maintain, govern and communicate metric and KPI definitions
Support development of trusted, reusable, and scalable data products
Reevaluate solutions as new data and systems become available to the teams
Testing & Business Validation
Perform business checkout and validation of delivered solutions to ensure functional accuracy
Analyze and resolve issues related to data quality, data usage, and application functionality
Support UAT, production validation, and post-release issue triage
Subject Matter Expertise
Provide expertise in healthcare operations, including prior authorization, coverage review, and client operations workflows
Translate domain knowledge into product capabilities that support operational and analytics use cases
Key Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related curriculum preferred; MBA preferred
5+ years’ relevant experience in product ownership, program/project management
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe) with backlog ownership and prioritization responsibilities
Strong ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements and deliverable solutions
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across business and technology organizations
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills
Preferred
Healthcare experience, particularly in Coverage Review / Prior Authorization or Client Operations
Experience with enterprise data platforms (e.g., data warehouse, lakehouse, cloud-based data environments)
Knowledge of data governance practices (metadata, data quality, access controls, Collibra/Immuta or similar)
Experience supporting analytics and reporting solutions
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar technologies
PMP, SAFe Product Owner, Product Manager, Agile or related certification
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 112,800 - 188,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
