The ideal candidate will have collaborated closely with founders or leadership teams and possess strong expertise in accounting operations, compliance, and financial workflows specific to e-commerce, including both marketplace and D2C models. Requirements Key Responsibilities Oversee complete accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and the closing processes at month-end and year-endPrepare and evaluate financial statements, MIS reports, cash flow statements, and financial forecastsEnsure timely submission of GST, TDS, and other statutory filings while maintaining compliance with Indian regulationsCollaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodiesManage inventory accounting, returns, settlements, and revenue recognition across multiple e-commerce platformsDevelop and enhance internal controls, accounting systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and financial workflowsPartner with operations, marketing, and supply chain teams to guarantee financial accuracyAssist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activitiesWork closely with founders and leadership on strategic financial decision-making Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CA Intermediate or MBA in Finance preferred)4-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within e-commerce companies or online marketplace environmentsIn-depth knowledge of D2C and marketplace accounting, including payment gateways, commission structures, and platform fee deductionsProficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, or equivalent toolsAdvanced skills in Excel with the ability to analyze financial data effectivelyStrong understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance requirements in IndiaExperience collaborating directly with founders or senior leadership What We Offer An opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing e-commerce brand with direct involvement in strategic decisions alongside founders.
