About the job
We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to play a key role in enhancing and expanding our team. As part of the Cyber Engineering and Operations team within Intact Insurance UK, you will be experienced in managing services and enabling delivery with experience across a broad range of domains:
- Excellent knowledge of securing It Security Engineering and operations in a variety of environments including physical and cloud;
- Experience in working across a range of internal and external third-party delivery teams;
- Solid understanding of SDLC, including Agile methodologies.
- Act as conduit between CIO and CISO, with responsibility to ensure designs are compliant with security standards, policies and strategy.
- Pragmatic and confident in enabling change to be delivered at pace securely;
- Experience in building and securing Endpoints within highly regulated financial services environments;
- Ability to communicate technical requirements and solutions in business terms and context;
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS etc;
- Confident in representing the team in design, architectural and project delivery forums
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure solutions are secure by design and compliant with Intact Insurance UKs policy, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the delivery of Security tooling
- Working directly with CIO and the business to deliver secure solutions.
- Ensure metrics for service are defined, maintained, and measured for accountable services and platforms.
- Maintain the security of Networks including artefacts and processes are defined and followed
- Mentoring other members of the Cyber Operations and Engineering team.
Functional Skills:
- Security Control Service availability and effectiveness.
- Delivery of effective security controls and services.
- Major programmes and projects integrate the security architecture into their deliverables.
- Number of projects aligned to and effectively delivering cloud and the security elements of the SDLC.
- Reduction in the volume of incidents relating to misconfiguration of platforms and services.
- Preferably 3 years of experience within Financial Services actively working with cyber security tooling
- Experience in delivering threat intelligence services within large organisations
