Position Summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is looking for a motivated Safety Professional who possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and assist in identifying risks that support safety programs at one of the most advanced semiconductor facilities in the United States. This position offers the opportunity to work as part of a diverse safety team to help strengthen our safety culture and improve hazard elimination for a world leader in manufacturing technology.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

- Implement and manage safety compliance programs in adherence to federal, state and local regulations.

- Manage Contractors Safety Management program for contractor pre-qualification, onboarding, high-risk restricted work permit (RWP) oversight, and cross-contractor safety alignment.

- Ability to anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices during task performance at a semiconductor facility.

- Develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs; and advise and educate others.

- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control elements.

- Evaluation of task performance to ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirements.

- Document and track results to support safety program elements.

- Conduct incident investigations, site inspections, identify root cause, determine corrective actions, and support implementation.

- Conduct employee training for education on site safety requirements.

- Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with safety sub-committee.

- Review and audit pre-task plans, site risk analyses and standard operating procedures.
