As a Rust Developer Intern, you will work with the engineering team to build high-performance, secure backend services that power identity verification and compliance solutions at scale. You will collaborate with experienced engineers on systems where speed, memory safety, and reliability are critical. This internship is ideal for candidates who are passionate about systems programming and want hands-on experience building real-world fintech applications using Rust.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices using Rust.
Build and optimize high-throughput, low-latency APIs for identity verification and fraud detection workflows.
Write clean, well-documented, maintainable, and testable code while following best practices for memory safety and concurrency.
Collaborate with senior engineers on system architecture, code reviews, and performance optimization.
Integrate Rust-based services with existing systems, databases, and third-party APIs.
Debug, profile, and optimize production-grade services to improve performance and reliability.
Contribute to internal tools, automation, and engineering productivity initiatives.

Candidates pursuing or recently completing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field are preferred.
Must be available to work full-time for the entire internship duration.
Candidates should be willing to work from or relocate to Bengaluru, as per the company's work policy.
Working knowledge of Rust, including ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, traits, and error handling.
Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and systems programming fundamentals.
Familiarity with asynchronous programming using Tokio, async/await, or similar frameworks.
Basic understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, and JSON.
Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and work in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Exposure to Rust web frameworks such as Actix, Axum, Rocket, or similar frameworks is preferred.
Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL or Redis and message queue systems is a plus.
Basic knowledge of Docker, Linux, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is preferred.
Interest in fintech, cybersecurity, cryptography, or distributed systems is an added advantage.
Personal, academic, or open-source projects developed using Rust will be considered a plus.
