PC&C Talent Solutions supports bp’s People Analytics team to provide HR Strategic reporting, analytics and insights to senior leadership and key collaborators across the business. The team handles a Data Lake environment to store and consolidate data ingested from systems of record from a range of domains including core HCM, Talent, Learning, Resourcing and Payroll. We are seeking an Analyst who will be collectively responsible for the ingestion, transformation and management of Data Lifecycle within the Data Lake to support reporting and analytics output and Data Governance. Candidate having experience with Workday reporting will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Data and Reporting Support
Support data ingestion, transformation, validation, and lifecycle activities within the People Analytics Data Lake.
Write and run SQL queries to support reporting, data analysis, and investigation of data issues.
Assist in preparing curated datasets using Databricks for reporting and analytics consumption.
Support responses to data queries and issues raised by bp PC&C Services teams across regions.
Follow defined data governance, privacy, and security standards when handling HR and people data.
Reporting and Digital Enablement
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, following established standards and guidelines.
Build and enhance Power Apps solutions to support self‑service reporting requests, basic workflows, and controlled data capture.

Support changes to data models, reports, and analytics solutions through testing, documentation, and release activities.
Assist with requirement clarification, impact assessment, and user acceptance testing.
Use Python scripting where required to support basic automation or data processing tasks.
Contribute to solution and process documentation and support knowledge sharing within the team.
Project Delivery
Support delivery of analytics and reporting initiatives within larger programmes or sprints.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand‑ups, retrospectives, and planning sessions.
Work collaboratively with People Analytics, O&A (Operations & Advisory) , and DevOps teams.
Escalate risks, issues, or dependencies in a timely manner.
EDUCATION:
Degree level education or equivalent experience with 2+ yrs of strong data, systems or process background
Experience of supporting reporting or analytics, ideally within data warehousing or big data solutions
Proficiency in SQL to query data sets, investigate and understand data problems
Experience with Python scripts
Experience of different data domains and working with large volumes of data
Experience of application management, system design, change/release management
Project delivery experience
Experience of working as part of a remote team, especially within a service delivery environment
EXPERIENCE AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Power BI: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to deliver clear People Analytics insights.
Power Apps: Build and support low‑code Power Apps to enable reporting requests, simple workflows, and user‑driven interactions.
Microsoft Fabric: Use Fabric Lakehouse and semantic layers to support standard analytics and reporting use cases.
Databricks: Support data preparation and transformation activities within Databricks environments.
SQL: Write basic to intermediate SQL queries to analyse data and support reporting accuracy.
Python: Use Python for basic data processing, scripting, or automation support.
Azure: Work within Microsoft Azure data and analytics services under established platforms and standards.
HR / People Data: Handle sensitive people data responsibly, in line with data privacy and governance requirements.
