Job Description: Purchase Manager Position: Purchase ManagerHotel: Ramada by Wyndham AligarhLocation: Aligarh, Uttar PradeshSalary: 30,000 35,000 per monthIndustry: Hospitality / Hotel OperationsEmployment Type: Full-Time Job Summary:Ramada by Wyndham Aligarh is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to oversee the procurement function of the hotel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing quality products and services, negotiating with vendors, managing inventory levels, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining hotel quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the hotel's purchasing and procurement activities.
- Source and evaluate suppliers for food, beverages, housekeeping supplies, engineering materials, and other operational requirements.
- Negotiate prices, contracts, and payment terms with vendors.
- Ensure timely procurement of goods and services as per departmental requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and identify new suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to avoid shortages.
- Prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and purchasing procedures.
- Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Verify quality, quantity, and specifications of purchased items.
- Coordinate with Accounts and Stores departments for invoice processing and stock reconciliation.
- Prepare procurement reports and assist management in budgeting and forecasting.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 35 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of vendor management and procurement processes.
- Experience in purchasing food & beverage, housekeeping, engineering, and operational supplies.
- Proficiency in MS Office and inventory/purchase management systems.
