About the RoleWe are looking for a sharp, practical, and field-oriented Public Affairs & Community Outreach Associate to support research, communication, stakeholder engagement, and ground-level coordination for major public-facing projects.This role is ideal for candidates from Political Science, Public Policy, Journalism, Sociology, Rural Development, or related backgrounds who are interested in real-world public engagement, grassroots research, communication strategy, and large-scale coordination.The candidate must be comfortable working outside an office environment, interacting with people across villages, towns, institutions, associations, and community groups, and converting field information into clear reports and action plans.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ground-level research across towns, villages, wards, and local communities.
- Identify key local issues, public concerns, community needs, and stakeholder priorities.
- Prepare structured reports based on field visits, interviews, and local observations.
- Coordinate with local leaders, associations, institutions, community representatives, and field teams.
- Track public sentiment, local developments, and emerging issues.
- Help plan outreach programs, meetings, visits, and public-facing activities.
- Prepare daily updates, field notes, dashboards, and briefing documents.
- Support communication planning for local campaigns, awareness drives, and community initiatives.
- Maintain organized data in Excel / Google Sheets.
- Assist senior management with research, planning, and execution of special public projects.Required Skills
- Strong Telugu communication skills are mandatory.
- Good English writing and reporting ability.
- Strong understanding of Andhra Pradesh / Telangana society, local issues, communities, and public life.
- Ability to speak confidently with people from different backgrounds.
- Practical field mindset; must be willing to travel and work on the ground.
- Good observation, listening, and reporting skills.
- Basic Excel / Google Sheets skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- High discretion, maturity, and confidentiality.Preferred ExperienceCandidates with any of the following experience will be preferred:
- Student leadership or college-level organizing experience.
- Work with NGOs, public policy organizations, media, surveys, field research, or community projects.
- Experience organizing events, meetings, outreach programs, or volunteer teams.
- Experience conducting surveys, interviews, local research, or public feedback collection.
