We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Psycho-Oncology Support Intern to help improve the emotional and psychosocial well-being of cancer patients and their caregivers. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical exposure to psycho-oncology, patient support services, caregiver interventions, and cancer care advocacy while making a meaningful impact in the lives of families navigating cancer.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include
Engage with cancer patients and caregivers to understand their emotional, psychosocial, and support needs.
Provide empathetic listening and supportive conversations to individuals coping with cancer-related stress, anxiety, grief, and uncertainty.
Assist in identifying emotional distress and escalate concerns when required.
Conduct regular follow-ups and wellness check-ins with patients and caregivers to ensure continuity of support.
Support the development and implementation of psycho-oncology programs, caregiver support initiatives, and patient wellness activities.
Create educational resources, awareness materials, and content focused on emotional well-being, psycho-oncology, and caregiver resilience.
Assist in organizing virtual support groups, community engagement activities, and mental health awareness campaigns.
Maintain confidential records, interaction notes, and progress updates while adhering to ethical and professional standards.
