Quality Council of India (QCI) is a national body established in 1997 by the Government of India and leading industry associations (ASSOCHAM, CII, and FICCI) to build and manage the countrys accreditation framework and promote quality across sectors. Registered as a not-for-profit society, QCI operates under its own Memorandum of Association and Rules & Regulations, with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, as its nodal ministry. QCIs accreditation services support international trade by ensuring global acceptance of certifications, inspections, and testing in areas such as quality, environment, and food safety. Role Description This is a contract, on-site role based in New Delhi for a Project Officer (Infrastructure) at QCI. The Project Officer (Infrastructure) will support planning, implementation, and monitoring of infrastructure-related projects under various QCI initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams, external stakeholders, and government/industry partners; tracking project timelines, deliverables, and budgets; and preparing project documentation, progress reports, and presentations. The role will involve collecting and analyzing project-related data, assisting in drafting technical notes and proposals, and supporting field visits, assessments, or inspections as required. The Project Officer will also help ensure compliance with relevant standards, guidelines, and quality protocols, while contributing to process improvements and knowledge management within the project team. Qualifications Educational background in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Management, Urban Planning, or a related field; a masters degree or relevant certification is an advantage. Experience in infrastructure or construction projects, including project coordination, site or field support, and interaction with public or private sector stakeholders. Strong project management capabilities, including planning, scheduling, tracking milestones, and supporting risk and resource management. Proficiency in data analysis, documentation, and reporting, with the ability to prepare clear technical notes, briefs, and presentations. Good understanding of infrastructure standards, quality norms, and regulatory requirements; familiarity with government schemes or public infrastructure programs is a plus. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and interact professionally with senior officials and partners.
