We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer with strong expertise in technology evaluation, process design, energy efficiency assessment, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and comparing competing process technologies for industrial projects, identifying optimal technical solutions, and providing quantitative assessments of energy consumption, carbon emissions, operational performance, and economic viability.
The role requires a solid understanding of process engineering principles, sustainability metrics, decarbonization strategies, and the ability to support technology selection decisions through rigorous technical and environmental evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform technical evaluations of process technologies for energy, chemical, petrochemical, refining, gas processing, hydrogen, carbon capture, and industrial decarbonization projects.
Develop and compare process technology options based on:
Energy efficiency
GHG emissions
Utility consumption
Process performance
Capital expenditure (CAPEX)
Operating expenditure (OPEX)

Conduct process simulations and engineering studies to quantify energy usage and process efficiencies.
Establish energy balances and identify opportunities for process optimization and heat integration.
Evaluate technologies using sustainability and decarbonization criteria.
Prepare technology screening studies, feasibility studies, and concept selection reports.
Perform benchmarking of technologies against industry standards and best available techniques.
Support front-end engineering and concept development activities.
Develop technical evaluation matrices and decision-making frameworks for technology selection.

Utility optimization
Process improvement
Collaborate with licensors, technology providers, project teams, and clients during technology assessment exercises.
Prepare and present technical recommendations to stakeholders and management.

Work Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in process engineering and technology evaluation.
Proven experience evaluating multiple process technologies and preparing technology comparison studies.
