Key responsibilities include:

Day-to-day chemical and process engineering activities to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Centre, enabling the research and operations teams to deliver their R&D programmes.

Lead and personally deliver process design activities for projects, ensuring compliance with bp Engineering Technical Practices (ETPs), HSSE requirements, and inherently safer design principles.

Provide oversight, assurance, and technical challenge of engineering contractor process work.

Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in chemical/ process engineering or related discipline relevant to chemical/ process engineering.

Experience of small scale facility or equipment design
-
Good working knowledge of relevant industry standards
-
Ability to influence and drive decisions.

Fluent written and spoken English language.

Good communicator, able to technically address with conviction verbally and written across Projects and Operations on technical matters at all levels of the company.
