We are expanding in several areas, and our Industry team in India is looking for a seasoned Supply Chain leader with experience in business development/sales, driving top-line growth and overall end-customer technology adoption across Supply Chain domains including Planning & Demand Management, Sourcing & Procurement, Logistics & Warehousing, and Returns & Reverse Logistics. The ideal candidate will possess a strong business development/sales background and deep Supply Chain domain expertise that will enable them to engage directly with customers, coach sales teams, and lead tactical and strategic initiatives to deliver innovative cloud and AI-powered solutions to Supply Chain leaders across industries. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in designing, influencing, or deploying technology solutions that support multiple areas within the end-to-end Supply Chain landscape. Domain areas of expertise would include key elements of the following:
- Planning & Demand Management: Knowledge of demand sensing, demand forecasting, S&OP/IBP processes, inventory optimization, supply-demand balancing, and scenario planning across industries such as CPG, Retail, Manufacturing, and Pharma
- Sourcing & Procurement: Understanding of strategic sourcing, supplier lifecycle management, procurement analytics, contract management, spend visibility, and source-to-pay processes including tail spend optimization and supplier risk management
- Logistics & Warehousing: Understanding of transportation management (TMS), warehouse management (WMS), fleet optimization, last-mile delivery, route optimization, yard management, and multi-modal logistics operations
- Returns & Reverse Logistics: Knowledge of returns management, refurbishment workflows, circular economy models, disposition management, warranty processing, and sustainability-driven reverse supply chain strategies
- Understanding of the business, technical, and operational needs of Supply Chain leaders in India, with the ability to translate business challenges into technology solutions powered by cloud, AI/ML, and GenAI
- Relationships with, and an understanding of, key system integrators and independent software vendors in the Supply Chain domain, including top named ISVs (e.g., Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, o9 Solutions, Coupa, Manhattan Associates).
Key job responsibilities Effectively position AWS as a strategic and trusted partner to India's Supply Chain leaders across CPG, Retail, Manufacturing, Automotive, Pharma, and other industries Coach account teams and help define the strategic direction for top accounts, with a focus on Supply Chain transformation use cases and line-of-business sponsors (VP Supply Chain, Chief Supply Chain Officer, Head of Procurement) Lead pre-sales activities for Supply Chain-focused engagements, work with AWS Marketing to support lead-generation and sales-acceleration activities, and influence downstream activities with global and multi-national customers Identify and help define requirements for new service offerings or packaged solutions across Supply Chain domains, in collaboration with the Industry Market Development team, AWS Professional Services, AWS AI specialist team, partners and AWS product teams. Conduct executive workshops with Supply Chain leaders and CXOs to identify priority areas for transformation and innovation — spanning demand planning, procurement digitization, logistics optimization, and sustainability Effectively position AWS in Supply Chain through participation in industry conferences, executive briefings, thought leadership content, and public speaking opportunities Work closely with AWS technical experts in solutioning, developing, and delivering AWS-based Supply Chain solutions including demand forecasting, supply chain optimization, intelligent document processing for procurement, and AI-driven logistics Support the AWS Partner Network and key Supply Chain technology providers with their solutions and service line offerings developed and running on AWS. Use Salesforce and internal Amazon systems for campaign tracking and pipeline management Prepare and present business reviews to senior management regarding progress, pipeline, wins, and roadblocks Travel may be required for this role, up to 50%
