The Primary Project Teacher is responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing interdisciplinary projects that integrate learning outcomes from English and Environmental Studies (EVS) for students in the Primary Section. The teacher will facilitate inquiry-based and experiential learning experiences that enhance students' communication, research, observation, collaboration, and presentation skills.The role includes planning and executing four projects per academic year, ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives and school expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and ImplementationDesign and implement engaging project-based learning experiences integrating concepts from English and EVS.Plan and execute four projects annually as per the academic calendar.Develop project briefs, learning activities, worksheets, rubrics, and assessment tools.Create opportunities for students to explore real-life connections through observation, research, surveys, interviews, field visits, and hands-on activities.Ensure projects cater to diverse learning needs and encourage active participation.Student Learning and DevelopmentGuide students through the complete project cycle, including inquiry, planning, execution, reflection, and presentation.Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, observation, and research skills.Encourage creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving.Foster curiosity and environmental awareness through meaningful learning experiences.Assessment and DocumentationAssess project work using competency-based rubrics and predefined criteria.Maintain student portfolios, project records, and evidence of learning.Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate progress to parents when required.Prepare project reports and documentation as per school requirements.CollaborationWork closely with Primary English and EVS teachers to align projects with curriculum outcomes.Coordinate project displays, exhibitions, and student presentations.Participate in staff meetings, curriculum planning sessions, and professional development programmes.Collaborate with parents and external resource persons whenever required.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Education, English, Environmental Studies, or a related field.B.Ed. mandatory.Minimum 23 years of teaching experience in a Primary School, preferably in an ICSE school.Experience in Project-Based Learning (PBL), experiential learning, or interdisciplinary teaching will be an advantage.Skills and CompetenciesStrong understanding of Primary English and EVS curriculum.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong planning, organizational, and documentation abilities.Ability to design creative and engaging learning experiences.Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning tools.Student-centric approach with a passion for experiential learning.Personal AttributesCreative, enthusiastic, and innovative educator.Patient and nurturing with young learners.Highly organized and detail-oriented.Collaborative team player with a growth mindset.Committed to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
