Job Details:Job Description: The Role and Impact As a Power Delivery Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing cutting-edge power delivery solutions that enable Intel's platforms to achieve optimal energy efficiency and performance. From initial concept to implementation, you will define, analyze, and implement solutions that meet power delivery requirements while collaborating with architects and engineers to ensure seamless integration into Intel's platforms. This position provides the exciting opportunity to work on innovative designs that influence Intel's success in delivering world-class technology to its customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement end-to-end power delivery designs, from concept to execution, to meet platform power requirements.
- Define and analyze power delivery networks, utilizing 2D and 3D model extraction, noise analysis, and simulation tools to meet platform specifications.
- Design and validate power conversion and management solutions, focusing on energy management, package and PCB optimization, decoupling solutions, and power sequencing requirements.
- Apply expertise in power conversion topologies, including components, compensation circuits, stability analysis, drop/droop analysis, and PCB layout tools, to characterize and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with silicon and platform architects to generate analysis and solutions, delivering comprehensive content for platform design guides.
- Create and validate VR specifications, test benches, test plans, and RTL models for emulation, ensuring behavioral models closely align with hardware performance.
- Debug, validate, and optimize power delivery systems using high-speed oscilloscopes, electronic loads, logic analyzers, and other advanced tools.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 10+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 7+ years of experience, or a PhD with no prior experience.
- Proficiency in power delivery modeling, analysis, and optimization techniques.
- Expertise with PCB schematic capture and layout tools, including Cadence Allegro and Sigrity.
- Hands-on experience with high-speed oscilloscopes, electronic loads, and debugging tools.
- Strong understanding of power converters, compensation circuits, and stability analysis.
- Must have design and hands on experience for all types of DC-DC converters and their topologies
- Must have in depth knowledge of active and passive components used in PD domain
- Must have hands on with power tree/map preparation, drop/droop analysis, compensation ckts, area and cost estimation, comparison, optimization.
