Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Playwright Automation Engineer based in Bengaluru South, with flexibility for some remote work. The Playwright Automation Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for web applications using Playwright and related tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing requirements, identifying test scenarios, debugging and resolving automation script issues, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage. The engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and execution of automated test processes. Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Playwright for web application testing and other relevant automation tools.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Strong understanding of software testing concepts including Functional, Regression, and Data-driven testing.
- Good knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and version control systems like Git.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in test scripts and automation frameworks.
- Experience with Agile testing methodologies and collaboration within cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with performance and security testing approaches (optional but beneficial).
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
