Platform & Infrastructure Engineer
Ericsson
About this Opportunity
We’re looking for someone who wants to help engineers and developers move faster. Someone who thrives on variety, gets energy from solving problems, and is just as happy writing a script as troubleshooting an infrastructure issue, or designing a whole new platform that changes how hundreds of people work for the better. If that sounds like you, this might be your role.
Join Transport Central Infrastructure (TCI) at PEU Transport. We’re a global team of 10 that owns and runs the Development Environment and AI Infrastructure for ~1000 engineers across four product families in 6 countries.
With us, you'll grow, work across a broad technology landscape, and see your work make a difference every day.
What you will do
Yesterday you wrote a Python script that saved a team two hours a day. Today you’re debugging a firewall rule blocking a CI pipeline. Tomorrow you’re onboarding 200 developers onto a new AI platform. Next week you’re building a self-service tool that lets teams solve the problem themselves, while helping a colleague troubleshoot a container issue on the side.
- Provide technical hands-on support to developers by troubleshooting build environments, debugging infrastructure issues, and unblocking pipelines
- Build tools, automation, and self-service platforms that multiply your impact across the organization
- Work across Linux, CI/CD, networking, cloud, data, and security, wherever the need is greatest
- Collaborate with solution architects, engineers, developers, internal and external service providers (e.g. AWS), and users directly to find practical solutions together
- Create reliable, well-documented solutions that others can use and maintain independently
Who you are
- M-shaped: you have real depth in some areas and you’re energized by breadth
- Service-minded: you measure your success by how many people’s day you made easier. You like being the person people come to.
- One-to-many thinker: when you solve a problem once, you instinctively think “how do I make sure nobody ever has this problem again?” Then you go build that fix.
- Not afraid of unfamiliar territory: new tool, new domain, new team? You take the initiative to figure it out and bring others along.
