Roles and Responsibilities: - Drive the buying and merchandising functions within the organization, leading a team to achieve strategic goals and objectives effectively. - Develop, implement, and execute buying strategies to optimize assortment, pricing, and promotion plans to meet sales and margin targets. - Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to negotiate terms, , and ensure timely delivery of merchandise. - Utilize market trends, consumer insights, and competitive analysis to make informed decisions and drive product selection and assortment planning. - Monitor inventory levels, sales performance, and profitability to identify opportunities for improvement and propose actionable solutions. - Implement merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility, drive sales, and maximize customer satisfaction. - Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to adjust to buying and merchandising strategies as needed.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from NIFT/Pearl, Buying & Merchandising, or related field. - 4-8 years of experience in buying and merchandising roles, preferably in retail or e-commerce industry. - Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive results. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis tools, and merchandising software. - Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Knowledge of retail math, inventory management, pricing strategies, and merchandising concepts.
