Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include
Analyzing and improving the performance of advanced algorithms on large-scale datasets and cutting-edge research in machine intelligence and machine learning applications.
Thinking through product scenarios and goals, identify key challenges, map requirements into Machine Learning (ML) tasks, and design experimental processes for iteration and optimization.
Building and implementing working prototypes of scalable systems in artificial intelligence (AI) applications.
Gaining a broad understanding of research areas, utilising applicable research techniques, staying updated on industry trends, and sharing knowledge with immediate team members.
Reviewing data quality and technical constraints, preparing datasets for analysis, and actively troubleshooting data quality issues by deciding which data to include or exclude.
Assisting with the development of usable datasets for modelling purposes and supporting the scaling of feature ideation and data preparation workflows.
Cleaning and adapting processed data for machine learning purposes under the direct supervision and guidance of senior team members.

Are currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a highly related quantitative field.
Must have at least one additional quarter/semester of school remaining following the completion of this internship.
Are available for full-time, fully on-site work at one of Microsoft's India office locations.
Are open to less than 25% travel if required by the business group.
