About the job
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic PGT Chemistry Teacher to join our school on a leave vacancy basis. The candidate will be responsible for teaching Chemistry to senior secondary students, ensuring effective curriculum delivery, academic excellence, and student engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Chemistry to Classes XI and XII in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Conduct practical sessions and laboratory activities while ensuring safety protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate students' academic performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for board examinations and competitive exams, where applicable.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student progress.
- Create an engaging and positive classroom environment that encourages learning.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and school activities as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methodologies and academic outcomes.
- Perform other academic duties assigned by the Principal or school management.
Required Qualification:
- Master's Degree in Chemistry from a recognized university
- B.Ed. degree from a recognized institution
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the CBSE curriculum.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience as a PGT Chemistry Teacher.
- Experience teaching Classes XI and XII is mandatory.
- Prior experience in a CBSE school will be preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent subject knowledge and teaching skills.
- Strong classroom management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and guide students toward academic excellence.
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital teaching tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
