Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include

1. Analyze existing perfume formulations and identify opportunities to enhance fragrance performance.

1. Improve the projection, diffusion, and longevity of perfumes prepared using ready-made fragrance oils.

1. Recommend and evaluate suitable fixatives, musks, solvents, and other performance-enhancing ingredients.

1. Optimize alcohol, water, and additive ratios to ensure maximum stability and fragrance performance.

1. Evaluate and work with raw materials such as Iso E Super, Hedione, Ambroxan, Galaxolide, Cashmeran, Cedramber, Benzyl Salicylate, Benzyl Benzoate, Triethyl Citrate, DPG, IPM, Labdanum, musks, and other specialty aroma chemicals.

1. Conduct blotter evaluations and skin wear trials to assess fragrance performance.

1. Evaluate fragrance development over 24-48 hours and perform stability testing under different environmental conditions, including heat, refrigeration, and UV exposure.

1. Test atomization, evaporation rate, and compatibility of fragrances with packaging components.

1. Maintain detailed formulation records, experimental data, and quality documentation.

1. Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist in batch standardization and pilot production.

1. Ensure formulations comply with IFRA guidelines and applicable cosmetic regulations.

1. Benchmark designer, niche, and mass-market fragrances to compare performance and identify improvement opportunities.

1. Research emerging aroma chemicals, fixative technologies, and cost-effective solutions to achieve premium-quality fragrance performance.
