About the job
About the RoleThis is not a role where you will be sitting behind a desk raising tickets. You will be the person who keeps the dailyengine of HR running while also being the face of culture at SRV Media. If someone's appointment letter or relieving letter needs to go out today, you make it happen. If the team feels low on a Friday, you think of something to fix that. You are equal parts process person and people person, and you do not see those two as opposites. We are a fast-growing digital marketing agency and the ground reality of HR here is dynamic. No two weeks look the same. What You Will Actually DoHR Operations the unglamorous but critical stuff Own the entire employee lifecycle for your assigned cohort from day one paperwork to exit formalities including FnF coordination and clearances. Manage attendance, leave records, and exceptions on a daily basis and follow up with employees and managers when things go off track. Prepare accurate payroll inputs every month and coordinate with Finance to ensure zero errors and no last-minute chaos. Keep the HRMS updated at all times because bad data creates bad decisions. Handle employee queries on HR policies, leave balances, compensation letters, and general requests without bouncing people around. Coordinate background verification, vendor tie-ups, and statutory compliance basics like PF and ESIC queries. Draft the full range of HR letters including appointment letters, confirmation letters, promotion letters, increment letters, experience letters, relieving letters, and PIPs when needed. Support the hiring team with scheduling, coordination, and candidate communication during peak hiring cycles. Employee Engagement the part everyone sees, but few do well Plan and execute monthly engagement activities that people actually look forward to, not just mandatory fun. Own the R&R calendar including peer nominations, leadership shoutouts, and quarterly recognition moments. Handle birthday and work anniversary celebrations in a way that feels personal rather than templated. Drive festival and cultural events from concept to execution without someone holding your hand. Run employee pulse surveys, collate responses, and share honest findings with the HR leadership. Manage internal communication touchpoints so employees feel informed rather than left out. Build a strong connect with employees across teams and become the go-to person for anythingpeople-related. What We Are Looking For 2 to 3 years of hands-on HR experience, ideally in an agency, startup, or any fast-paced setup where you had to figure things out on the go. Someone who has genuinely managed both HR ops and engagement, not just supported someone else doing it. Comfortable with HRMS platforms and basic Excel for reports and payroll inputs. Strong written and verbal communication because you will be talking to employees, vendors, and leadership regularly. Good at keeping things confidential because in HR, trust is everything. Ability to manage multiple things simultaneously without dropping the ball on basics. High ownership. If it is your responsibility, you see it through without being chased. What This Role Is Not ForSomeone who wants to stay in their lane and only do what is assigned.Someone who needs heavy supervision to get started.Someone who treats engagement as decoration on top of the real work.Someone who is not comfortable being on the floor, talking to people, and sorting issues face to face. A Day in This Role Might Look LikeMorning pulling up attendance exceptions and sending reminders. Afternoon coordinating onboarding for two new joiners and setting up their induction schedules. Then a quick check on the R&R nominations that are due this week, and ending the day drafting a communication for the upcoming team event. Some days will be heavier on ops, some on engagement. Both matter equally here. What You Get A seat at the table in a growing People function, not a back-office corner. Direct exposure to strategic HR decisions under senior leadership mentorship. A young, driven team that actually cares about the culture it is building. Room to bring your own ideas and run with them.
