Amazon's Consumer Payments organisation is a rapidly growing, multi-billion-dollar global business which significantly contributes to the company's profitability, and (most importantly) ensures customers everywhere have access to Amazon via our payment methods. Our corporate operations team ensures seamless purchase and usability experience for customer payments, and we are seeking a multi-talented high-performing, customer obsessed and analytical individual to join an exciting, dynamic, and inventive Ops team based in Bangalore.
This role will partner with regional Gift Card and International Payment Product teams across Europe and North America to execute a variety of day to day tasks that ensure business continuity is maintained and that stakeholders across the business have the information needed to drive continuous improvements based on customer feedback. With a particular focus on marketing operations, this role supports campaign execution, promotional deal management, availability monitoring, and customer-facing payment experiences across multiple channels.
In addition to managing daily deliverables, this role is required to serve as a hands-on operations specialist and problem solver, self-driving efficiency improvement and AI driven automation projects to better our customer's payment experience and internal processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate AI literacy and the ability to leverage generative AI tools to automate repetitive tasks, create efficiencies, and drive operational excellence. This individual will have a high attention to detail, possess exemplary ownership when prioritizing work in order to maintain operations SLAs, and possess judgement interpreting customer feedback/signals in data to decide when to escalate issues.
Key job responsibilities
Complete a variety of recurring tasks to support the Europe and North America based Gift Card and International Payment Product business teams, satisfying pre-defined SLAs
Support marketing operations including campaign management, deal troubleshooting, availability planning, and promotional execution across payment products
Work with individuals internally across Amazon to drive operational excellence
Apply business judgement to determine the severity and resolution path for independently identified issues
Proactively identify opportunities to apply AI and automation tools to reduce manual effort and improve process efficiency
Leverage generative AI tools to streamline documentation, data analysis, and reporting workflows
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, establishing standard operating procedures
Provide data-driven analytics and support to business partners in quantifying and resolving issues

Continuously evaluate tools and processes and offer solutions to ensure they are efficient, high quality, and scalable
Monitor system availability, investigate anomalies, and coordinate troubleshooting efforts with technical teams
A day in the life A day as a Payment Operations Specialist will consist of completing your recurring tasks within the pre-defined SLA before moving on to project work. This may include supporting marketing campaign launches, troubleshooting deal configurations, monitoring traffic patterns, and coordinating with product and engineering teams on availability issues. The projects will be identified and driven autonomously by yourself with desired end result being the reduction of manual hours for you and/or the business through automation and standardisation. You will regularly experiment with AI tools to identify automation opportunities and build prototypes that demonstrate measurable productivity gains. Both the recurrent tasks and project work will require regular connects with global stakeholders as well as other team members.
About the team
The Bangalore Payment Operations team maintains a high bar for our internal/external customers by building new mechanisms for tracking metrics and KPIs and continually meeting KPI and quality target for the processes we own. We increase efficiency and reduce cost to serve through centralization of processes, process consultation and by applying best practise process workflows to multiply productivity gains across CP.
### Basic qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or experience in a relevant field
Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
Experience in written and spoken English and an ability to compose grammatically correct, concise and accurate written responses
Experience in process improvement
Knowledge of analytic tools
Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes, or experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
Knowledge of general AI tools

MBA, or Bachelor's degree

Hands-on experience building automation solutions using AI agents, APIs, or no-code/low-code platforms
Track record of driving measurable productivity improvements through AI-powered workflows
