About the Role:
Join our high-performing Financial Operations team at PayU Payments and lead critical financial processes that power India's digital payment ecosystem. Our Financial Operations team is the backbone of PayU's payment infrastructure, ensuring seamless transaction processing, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across multiple payment channels. We are seeking an experienced Manager - Financial Operations to join our collaborative team in Gurgaon, where you'll work alongside skilled professionals in reconciliation, compliance, and payment processing to manage escrow accounts, drive automation initiatives, and maintain the highest standards of financial operations in compliance with RBI guidelines.
Team Leadership & Financial Operations:
Lead and mentor a team of reconciliation specialists and financial analysts
Manage daily reconciliation of transactions, reports, and funds across multiple payment channels
Oversee comprehensive escrow accounts management in accordance with RBI guidelines on Payment Aggregators (PA), Payment Aggregator Cross Border (PA-CB), and Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS)

Manage relationships with banks, merchants, and cross-functional teams
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
Lead team coordination and provide guidance on complex reconciliation issues
Facilitate dispute resolution processes with various payment networks and partners
Work closely with Technology, Risk, and Business teams to enhance operational workflows
Educational Background:
Postgraduate degree (MBA/M.Com/CA/CFA) preferably in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Professional Experience:
7-10 years of experience in financial operations, payment processing, and reconciliation
Proven experience in team management and stakeholder coordination (minimum 2-3 years of team leadership experience)
In-depth knowledge of RBI guidelines for Payment Aggregators (PA/PG)
Hands-on experience with payment gateways, escrow management, and dispute resolution
Strong background in Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPI) business, reconciliation, and settlement processes
Experience working with card networks (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay) and UPI ecosystem
Leadership & Team Management:
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
Experience in performance management, goal setting, and career development
Strong delegation and task prioritization skills
Ability to foster collaborative team environment and cross-functional partnerships
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with strong Excel modeling capabilities
Experience with financial reconciliation tools and payment processing systems
Knowledge of banking operations and settlement processes
Familiarity with automation tools and process improvement methodologies
