What will your day-to-day look like?
The Blade line is seeking mechanical technicians. You will be responsible of set up, operate, and adjust a wide range of computer-numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools—including lathes, grinders, milling machines, EDM machines, and laser cutting machines—to machine new parts and repair worn parts.
To do this, you will:
- Prepare and interpret conventional and computer-assisted design (CAD) engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for machines and components, power transmission systems, process piping, heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems
- Set-up, program, operate, and maintain CNC Milling equipment.
- Perform Manual Lathe and Milling Operations.
- Use specialized equipment, related software and systems such as, but not limited to, robotics, machine logic, tooling, Human - Machine Interface (HMI), and Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) milling, part marking and ATTI.
- Conduct tests and analyses of machines, components and materials to determine their performance, strength, response to stress and other characteristics
- Facilitate continuous improvement by using tools such as Kaizen events and CORE Operating System.
- Design moulds, tools, dies, jigs and fixtures for use in manufacturing processes
