About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include

1. Create, modify, and optimize CAD models for rooftop vertical-axis wind turbine systems and components.

1. Support the design, refinement, and on-ground assembly of turbine blades, mounts, frames, housings, fixtures, and other mechanical parts.

1. Conduct basic CFD simulations to analyze airflow patterns, drag, torque, and opportunities for performance enhancement.

1. Perform basic FEA and structural analyses to evaluate strength, vibration, fatigue risks, and rooftop safety considerations.

1. Assist in prototype fabrication, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and iterative design improvements.

1. Participate in field trials and testing activities, document observations, identify performance gaps, and recommend practical engineering solutions.

1. Prepare and maintain engineering drawings, technical documentation, test reports, specifications, and revision records.

1. Collaborate with the founder and engineering team on design-for-manufacturing initiatives, cost optimization, reliability improvements, and product development goals.

1. Support component selection, material evaluation, and manufacturing process planning for prototype and production readiness.

1. Contribute to the development and validation of MVPs by assisting with testing, performance evaluation, and product refinement activities.
