Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibility
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
Develop and execute sourcing strategies
Identify, evaluate, and onboard global suppliers
Lead RFQs/RFPs, supplier negotiations, and contract finalization
Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and technology advancements
Supplier Management & Qualification
Establish vendor qualification processes in collaboration with quality and engineering teams.
Work closely with process engineers and R&D teams on material specifications, including:
Evaluate and qualify new materials and second-source suppliers.
Supply Chain & Risk Management
Ensure continuity of supply for critical materials and manage supply disruptions.
Develop dual-sourcing strategies and buffer plans for high-risk items.
Analyse supply-demand dynamics and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Collaborate with planning teams to ensure alignment with production schedules.
Cost Optimization
Drive cost reduction initiatives through negotiation, volume leverage, and process optimization.
Conduct should-cost analysis
Track cost trends and identify opportunities for savings.
Cross-functional Coordination
Engineering (process/material specifications)
Quality (incoming inspection, failure analysis)
Manufacturing (usage, yield impact)
Finance (budget and cost control)
Qualification
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Supply Chain, or related field.
Experience
Young professionals within 5 years of experience ready to re-locate to Dholera/Ahmadabad
Semiconductor experience ‘Good to have’. Supply-chain experience is ‘Must have’ in some form (ex: Planning & analysis roles; Procurement strategy roles; Technical SCM roles etc.)
