At this time, Ericsson Canada Inc. does not provide immigration assistance/sponsorship now or in the future for this position.
About this opportunity:
Are you ready to create the future of AI powered 5GA/6G network?
Baseband Technology under Ericsson AI and technology foresight department leads technology foresight and development in the core system area of real-time processing (baseband), both for AI and non-AI methods and workloads. This includes AI models in the RAN baseband, accelerated compute technology, the SW toolchain for AI on Ericsson Silicon (EMCA) and other areas vital to the AI mission, such as overseeing field data collection and AI model validation over-the-air, simulators, cloud infrastructure and more. The responsibility area also includes leading technology incubation for future SW-defined baseband planforms, for example using GPU’s and various accelerator devices.
We are now looking for a Senior Baseband AI Developer to join our global team and drive the next wave of innovation across the full baseband stack — from Physical Layer (L1) to Layer 2 (L2) and scheduler design and optimisation.
This role is for someone with deep baseband knowledge, strong software skills, and a genuine passion for applying AI and other emerging technologies to solve real product problems. You will work at the intersection of wireless communication, machine learning, software architecture and modern compute platforms to bring intelligence into key baseband functions and workflows.
No matter where you join, you will become part of a highly collaborative and global organisation with baseband expertise across sites including Stockholm, Lund, Linköping and Ottawa.
Join us to turn advanced AI into real network value.
What you will do:
- Drive and contribute to the exploration, design and development of AI-enhanced solutions across the baseband domain, including L1/PHY, L2 processing and radio resource scheduling.
- Identify where AI can create measurable value in baseband functions such as signal processing, link adaptation, resource allocation, traffic management, control optimisation, performance prediction and runtime adaptation.
