We are currently evaluating expansion into new industries and are looking for highly
analytical, curious, and execution-oriented interns to help build market-entry strategies for new verticals.
What will you work on?
You will work directly with business leadership on evaluating new markets for Sharpsell.ai. Your objective is not just research. You will help answer strategic questions such as:
Should Sharpsell enter this market?
Who are the buyers?
What business problems matter most?
What competitors exist today?
What is the go-to-market strategy?
Which accounts should be targeted first?
What revenue opportunity exists?
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include
A. Market Research:
Analyze industry reports, annual reports, investor presentations, and market data
Estimate TAM, SAM, and SOM
Research market growth trends and industry dynamics
Identify high-potential sub-segments
B. Buyer & Stakeholder Mapping:
Research and document sales leaders, business heads, commercial excellence leaders, training & enablement teams, marketing leaders, HR & L&D leaders, and technology stakeholders.
For each stakeholder, identify KPIs, challenges, buying triggers, decision authority, budget ownership, and success metrics.

Build competitive comparison frameworks and recommendation reports.
C. Primary research & field work:
Conduct expert interviews, customer discovery conversations, industry stakeholder discussions, and market validation interviews
This role may involve field visits, meetings, industry events, and customer interactions where required.
D. GTM Strategy Development:
Support creation of Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP), target account lists, messaging frameworks, market-entry recommendations, vertical prioritization models, and executive presentations
Convert research findings into business recommendations, executive summaries, GTM plans, and market-entry strategies
