Maiz Kitchens Job Description: Manager Store Design & ProjectsDepartment: New Store Development / ExpansionLocation: Lower Parel, Mumbai (HQ) with travel to project sitesExperience: 34 yearsCTC Range: 1014 LPA About the RoleMaiz is a fast-growing fast-casual food chain scaling rapidly across cities. This role owns the design-to-handover journey for everynew store: translating the brand's design language into a buildable layout, costing it accurately, and ensuring contractorsexecute it on time, on budget, and to spec. You will work across multiple stores in parallel, at different stages of design and build. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop store layout plans for new outlets based on the approved brand prototype/design language, adapting to each site'sactual dimensions and constraintsPrepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for civil, electrical, furniture, signage, and kitchen fit-out workFloat BOQs to contractors/vendors, collect quotes, and support commercial negotiation and vendor selectionCoordinate end-to-end with contractors, fabricators, electricians, and other site vendors to ensure execution matches designintentTrack project timelines across multiple simultaneous store openings and flag delays earlyConduct site visits to monitor execution quality, resolve on-ground issues, and sign off before handover to operationsMaintain cost discipline track actuals vs. BOQ estimate per store and flag overrunsBuild and refine reusable design/BOQ templates so each new store rollout gets faster and more standardizedLiaise with landlords/mall management on layout approvals, NOCs, and fit-out norms where applicable RequirementsBachelor's/Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture34 years' experience, ideally in retail, F&B, QSR, or hospitality fit-out projects (multi-site rollout experience is a strong plus)Hands-on experience preparing BOQs and working with AutoCAD/SketchUp or similar layout toolsProven contractor/vendor coordination experience comfortable on-site, not just at a deskStrong with numbers can read a BOQ, spot a padded quote, track budget vs. actualsAbility to manage 34 stores in parallel at different project stagesBased in Mumbai, willing to travel to sites within and possibly outside the city
