Government Relations and Regulatory Strategy (GRRS):
GRRS’s mission is to advance LSEG’s policy agenda and profile with key stakeholders as well as serve as a strategic adviser on reputational issues and business initiatives. Our work is focused around four pillars: advocacy, engagement, thought leadership and advisory. We partner with business divisions and functions as well as with our colleagues in the Corporate Affairs & Marketing Division to position LSEG as a trusted resource and thought leader with key decision-makers on policy issues impacting the future of our industry. The GRRS team is truly global, comprised of nearly 30 professionals across 11 LSEG offices globally.

Working in the Americas team, you will help to advance LSEG’s policy agenda and profile with key policymakers through management and ownership of the political engagement function. You will be primarily responsible for administering, maintaining, and growing LSEG’s political action committee and related political engagement work. You will be a strategic adviser on reputational issues and initiatives impacting LSEG, our customers and our partners, with a specialty focus on political implications and risks. This role is central to GRRS’ mission to anticipate, develop and implement advocacy strategies to shape a supportive policy environment for LSEG. Although this role is focused on US engagement, as part of the global government relations team, you will work with a diverse, global and distributed team, that works across geographies, business areas, and functions to drive campaigns that support key priorities for LSEG globally.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead LSEG's PAC fundraising strategy in partnership with GRRS leadership, including planning, campaigns, content, and events.
- Oversee PAC operations and compliance, ensuring adherence to election laws, regulations, and filing requirements.
- Serve as PAC Treasurer, supporting Board governance, budgets, and strategic priorities.
- Manage vendor and stakeholder relationships to support compliance, budgeting, and campaign disbursements.
- Drive PAC membership growth through targeted engagement and communication activities.
- Direct PAC budget allocation, monitor disbursements, and assess performance against objectives.
- Support senior leadership engagement in political and policy forums, including global events.
- Build industry relationships and monitor political, regulatory, and market developments.
- Represent LSEG in meetings, forums, and working groups across the federal political landscape.
- Lead policymaker mapping, engagement planning, and reporting activities.
- Support wider GRRS priorities and strategic projects as business needs require.
- Act as a registered lobbyist and represent LSEG in political engagement activities.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or related experience.
- 5+ years experience in government relations, with direct experience as a PAC professional at a corporation, trade association, non-profit organization, or federal campaign.
- Experience building and executing on internal or external fundraising campaigns.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, oral and written, and demonstrated ability and experience to consistently collaborate positively and effectively with internal and external partners. Experience with public speaking is a plus.
- Must have high attention to detail, excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to leverage for effective development and implementation of PAC strategy and fully compliant PAC administration.
- Experience working closely with and desire for high engagement with policymakers and staff. Demonstrate strong political competence and understanding of Congress, Administration, the U.S. political landscape, and the rules and regulation pertaining to corporate political engagement.
- Knowledge of campaign finance laws and regulations and FEC reporting rules.
- Ability to engage colleagues in discussion about our political system and relevant developments to the company’s public policy agenda - including with senior executives, existing PAC members, and potential PAC members - in a positive and politically neutral manner in recognition of the range and diversity of political viewpoints among LSEG employees.
- Experience working with political programs and software to ensure effective database management.
- Understanding of financial services, capital markets, data & technology, and global trade. Ability to quickly understand financial services issues and explain them simply to a range of partners.
- Ability to take initiative, adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, lead and prioritize several projects concurrently, and exercise good judgment.
- Must exhibit professional demeanor, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a clear reputation for ethical conduct.
Key Relationships and Committees:
- Internal: Colleagues of varying seniority across breadth and depth of Group, including up to the executive committee and divisional senior management.
- External: Policymakers, politicians, regulators, customer and competitor peers, industry bodies, academics and think tanks.
We take a hybrid approach to workplace, with a requirement to work three days per week in the office. This role must have the ability to travel 10-25% of the time.

Compensation/Benefits Information:
LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $110,400 - $184,000.
Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/”bonus plan”). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage.
