Role Overview

The SW Purchase – Development Engineer will be responsible for executing end-to-end software procurement (Vehicle software such as Alexa, connected car, Streaming services, UI tools, etc. ) activities, including RFQ releases, technical alignment with stakeholders, quote evaluation, taxation alignment, and ensuring timely supplier payments. The role demands strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of software procurement workflows.

Key Responsibilities

1. RFQ (Request for Quotation) Management

• Prepare and release RFQs to approved vendors.

• Ensure clarity of technical requirements and scope in RFQ documents.

1. Technical Alignment

• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering/Prodcut Planning) to gather and confirm technical requirements.

• Align vendor proposals with technical expectations and highlight deviations.

1. Quote Comparison & Evaluation

• Collect vendor quotations and prepare comparative statements.

• Evaluate cost, licensing models, support terms, and commercial conditions.

• Recommend technically and commercially suitable options.

1. Taxation Alignment

• Coordinate with finance/taxation teams for tax applicability (GST, TDS, etc.).
