Our Global Operations Centre in Mumbai plays a key role in supporting our UK and European operations by providing freight forwarding, shipment coordination, customer service, pricing support, and operational excellence across multiple transport modes. Role Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support our European freight forwarding operations. The successful candidate will coordinate international shipments, obtain freight quotations, liaise with carriers and overseas agents, monitor cargo movements, and ensure smooth execution of air freight, sea freight, road freight, and courier shipments. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in international logistics and supply chain management within a growing global organization.
Responsibilities
Freight Operations
Coordinate international Air Freight, Sea Freight, Road Freight, and Courier shipments.
Handle shipment bookings with airlines, shipping lines, consolidators, and transport providers.
Monitor shipment progress from origin to destination.
Ensure all operational milestones are updated accurately.
Coordinate customs clearance activities with brokers and local partners.
Arrange collection, delivery, warehousing, and transshipment requirements.
Pricing & Quotations
Obtain freight rates from carriers, airlines, shipping lines, and logistics partners.
Prepare customer quotations and pricing proposals.
Maintain pricing databases and supplier rate sheets.
Compare multiple service providers to achieve competitive pricing and service levels.
Support tender submissions and commercial proposals.
Customer Service
Act as a point of contact for customers, overseas agents, and suppliers.
Provide shipment status updates and proactive communication.
Resolve operational issues and service-related queries.
Ensure customer requirements are fulfilled within agreed timelines.
