The UWB validation team in Bangalore is looking for an experienced RF validation engineer (f/m/d).
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop RF validation strategies and test plans for NXP UWB solutions, ensuring coverage of functional and performance requirements
- Develop, execute, and automate validation tests to characterize key RF performance metrics (e.g., Tx/Rx KPIs, system-level behaviour)
- Define and maintain scalable test methodologies, frameworks, and automation infrastructure to enable repeatable and efficient validation
- Perform hands-on RF measurements in the lab using industry-standard equipment such as spectrum analyzer, signal generator, vector network analyzer, and oscilloscope
- Analyze measurement data, interpret results against specifications, and generate clear, data-driven validation reports
- Lead test result reviews with stakeholders, highlighting risks, deviations, and recommendations for product improvements
- Drive root-cause analysis and debug RF and firmware issues in collaboration with system, modem, and development engineering teams until closure
- Ensure validation completeness and act as a quality gatekeeper for firmware/product releases to customers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (RF, firmware, systems, product management) and external partners/test labs to align on validation scope and deliverables
- Participate in technical reviews and product evaluations, contributing to continuous improvement of validation approaches and product quality
Education, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
