LEAD Oracle Database Admin

Detailed Job description with level of experience based on the customer Ask .

• Design and manage RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and Active Data Guard. • Handle switchover/failover and cluster troubleshooting. • Use AWR, ASH, and SQL Trace for performance analysis. • Tune SQL queries, indexes, and memory parameters. • Create and maintain RMAN backup strategies. • Test disaster recovery plans and standby synchronization. • Plan and execute Oracle upgrades, patching, and migrations. • Manage schema and platform migrations. • Resolve escalated issues from L2 and proactively fix systemic problems. • Guide L1/L2 teams and create runbooks. • Coordinate with architecture and operations teams. • Implement encryption (e.g., TDE) and access controls. • Ensure compliance with patching and audit standards. • Develop scripts (Shell, Python) for backups and monitoring. Automate routine DBA tasks. • Candidate should have experience in Grid Installation and troubleshooting. Experience in Oracle RAC, Performance Tuning, Dataguard and knowledge of Golden gate. • Expert level understanding of Oracle database architecture. • Should have experience & ability to work with various teams to resolve performance issues (development, storage administrators, network administrators, 18.system administrators and business users) • Specialized in Oracle RAC, good understanding of complexity of RAC Architecture across Servers, OS, network, storage layer. • Exposure to work on Oracle Engineered systems viz Exadata , SSC box & Exacc • Should have SQL tuning skill and experience at refactoring sql queries to improve performance. • Ability to diagnose the performance issues from SQL to Application to Database to System to Storage • Excellent problem-solving skills, should be able to transverse across infrastructure layer to diagnosis issues. • Expert at HA features of Oracle database. • Complete understanding of Oracle database’s backup recovery options.
