The Position
Purpose of the role is to develop and implement Boehringer Ingelheim India's Human Pharma Market Access Strategies & framework. It involves promoting the range of innovative products in both Public/Reimbursed and Out of Pocket market by developing and driving better market access initiatives for the payers/patients. Developing pricing strategies for the Boehringer Ingelheim portfolio which includes new product launch pricing, existing product pricing/pricing schemes as well as maintaining pricing from the external stakeholder/Government/NPPA perspective. Identifying, developing and design suitable market access initiatives on the lines of partnership models across therapies, pricing schemes, Health Economics & Outcomes etc. which can enable maximization of opportunities and drive business growth in the public/out of pocket market in close collaboration with the Government Affairs/Healthcare Affairs/Marketing/Medical Team. Monitor, interpret and shape developments and gaps in healthcare policies and healthcare delivery for our current and future HP product portfolio.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Developing new pricing / price change proposal/business case for the complete portfolio of Boehringer Ingelheim India in alignment with local business requirements and working closely with the Global team for getting approvals of the same. Also, taking the lead for all submissions related to global market access such as price approval process, BIP track, Global launch tracker etc.
- Ensuring timely and continuous submissions to notify products price to Government pricing authority (NPPA). Streamlining any gaps in data with the government and ensuring all issues are resolved with the concerned authorities
- Developing the Market Access Strategies, tactical and execution plan for Boehringer Ingelheim’s portfolio products. Involves identifying suitable therapy opportunities within Government health policy/NCD policy and developing strategies towards increasing advocacy for Boehringer Ingelheim portfolio through either increase in government funding or increase in government priority. Meeting & presenting to senior level external stakeholders. Also, taking the lead for all submissions related to global team such as access related advocacy plan.
- Ideating and executing various strategic initiatives across the value chain of Market access such as Pricing Schemes, Payer value tools such as HEOR models, information, diagnosis, affordability, adherence etc. Also aligning with internal stakeholders such as Government Affairs, Sales & Marketing, Medical teams to ensure timely and effective implementation of all tactical plans.
