Description of the Area
The Customer Engagement Platforms and Services function acts as Salesforce Center of Excellence (CoE) within Roche Digital Technology. These platforms and services are consumed by others to create business facing platforms, products and services. The goal is to empower product teams to develop business capabilities efficiently and compliantly, while reducing their cognitive load and allowing them to focus on value generation. Although development and operations remain decentralized, the Salesforce CoE can offer additional services, especially to smaller organizations that may lack certain specialized skills. The team is mandated to significantly reduce unintended customization and technical diversity by partnering with the business functions using the systems and driving re-use, simplification and standardization.
The Opportunity:
- Lead Custom Development: Act as a seasoned expert designing, crafting, deploying, and sustaining complex (cloud) software solutions within our Salesforce technology ecosystem utilizing strong full-stack expertise.
- Drive Strategic Initiatives: Take distinct ownership of tasks and topics in the "grey zone" without defined owners, successfully leading and driving small to medium initiatives.
- Optimize Delivery Processes: Design, manage, and continuously improve the entire software delivery process, from initial code generation to production environments (SFDX).
- Maintain Engineering Standards: Formulate and implement technical strategies while keeping the highest code quality engineering standards, including Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Address Architectural Debt: Proactively identify and resolve complex technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and structural architectural challenges within the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Enforce Compliance & Security: Ensure all software quality management, cybersecurity, and secure practices (such as shift-left and embedded automated code analysis) line up with regulatory expectations like GxP and ICFR.
