The Business Analyst role is among the most critical roles in any client implementation. S&P Global is seeking an experienced Business Analyst who can further enhance and evolve our post trade securities and corporate actions suite, while also consulting and leading client onboarding onto our platforms smoothly and effectively.
The Impact:
The Business Analyst partners with various stakeholders involved in the project, works closely with the Product Managers and serves as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the client, development, and Quality teams to drive product enhancements to delivery. The Business Analyst is responsible to finalize scope, identifying gaps, defining client requirements, and assisting client in definition of their test suites & acceptance criteria. The candidate should be able to understand the existing business process of a client and how to define target state operational process onto the platform, based on which he/she then designs and implement the most optimal product configuration for the client.

The role requires the candidate to have excellent management capability, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational / coordination skills, and analysis skills. The successful candidate will be highly process oriented with a sound understanding of product development lifecycle. The candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, adaptable to change, and capable of leading multiple projects and workstreams concurrently.

Responsibilities:
Business Analysis will be the core focus of the job with certain elements of product management.
- Partner with product leads to understand product requirements and become an SME for designated functional area.
- Collaborate with product and technology teams to analyze requirements and design functional enhancements.
- Lead requirements elicitation, propose solutions, and produce clear, well-structured functional specification documents.
- Ensure requirements are communicated correctly to development and testing teams.
- Understands the underlying business, implementation & product usage of assigned client/s.
- Stay current on new features, releases, and functional enhancements across supported applications.
- Maintain a delivery mindset with strong time management and personal organization skills.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with internal teams and external client stakeholders.
- Work with the client to define the most optimal future state operational process and related product configuration.
- Provide onsite product consultancy as needed, including support for acceptance criteria definition and project lifecycle execution.
- Use AI tools to increase delivery quality and speed.
- Actively contribute to product enhancement discussion by identifying and proposing AI-driven opportunities to modernize and upgrade the platform.
- Willingness to travel as required.
What We’re Looking For:
Education and experience
- Relevant experience of 8+ years
- Prior experience in Capital Markets, Post Trade automation, Corporate Actions preferred
- Strong Analytical skills, working knowledge of SQL
- Ability to work independently and in a team, proactive, able to lead multiple streams
- Understanding and experience of the Agile software development process and overall project life cycle.
- Enthusiasm for Agile process and new technologies and their potential to make an impact
- Experience in issue trouble shooting
- Working experience in customer facing role would be preferred
- Working knowledge of change management process would be preferred
- Hands-on ability to use AI tools in day-to-day BA work
- Strong interest in evolving products with an AI-first mindset
