Lead Associate - Category Management

As a Lead Associate - Category Management, with 3.4-6.10 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the category management functions within the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of product categories, market trends, and consumer behavior to optimize the product assortment, pricing, and promotions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute category management strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
• Hands on experience with Inventory model/Buying.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify new opportunities and risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop product assortment plans that meet customer needs and company objectives.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate terms and conditions, and drive supplier performance improvements.
• Monitor category performance metrics, conduct regular reviews, and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement category initiatives, promotions, and pricing strategies.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in category management.
• Develop and present regular reports and presentations to senior management regarding category performance and future strategies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in category management, product management, or related roles.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and market information.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
