About the job

We are looking for a highly creative and trend-aware Social Media Video Editor & Content Creator who lives and breathes short-form content. This role is responsible for recording, editing, and packaging engaging videos specifically for social media platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

The ideal candidate understands platform algorithms, viral content formats, storytelling techniques, audience psychology, and can create high-performing content using mobile editing tools and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

A. Content Creation & Recording

1. Record social media content using smartphones and mobile-first production techniques

1. Capture behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, product showcases, office culture, events, and founder-led content

1. Suggest creative shot ideas, hooks, and storytelling formats optimized for social platforms

B. Video Editing

1. Edit short-form videos primarily using mobile editing apps (CapCut, VN, InShot, etc.)

1. Create fast-paced, engaging videos optimized for retention and watch time

1. Add captions, transitions, sound effects, graphics, overlays, and motion elements

1. Ensure videos are platform-native and aligned with current social media best practices

C. Trend Research

1. Stay updated with the latest social media trends, viral formats, editing styles, audio trends, and platform updates

1. Bring fresh content ideas inspired by high-performing creators and brands

1. Adapt trends creatively while maintaining brand identity
