About the RoleWe are looking for a creative and motivated Junior Textile Designer to join our design team, supporting the development of rugs, pillows, and poufs for the U.S. market. Reporting directly to the Creative Head, this role is a great opportunity to grow your skills in textile design, CAD development, and product development within a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with senior team members and vendors to bring original design concepts to life, from initial idea through to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design team in developing textile concepts across rug, pillow, and pouf categories aligned with U.S. market trends
- Assist in creating CAD designs, embroidery patterns, textile prints, and colorways under the direction of the Creative Head
- Help track project timelines and ensure design files and documentation are accurate and up to date
- Research industry trends, competitor products, and market developments to inform design direction
- Collaborate with vendors during the development process, supporting communication and follow-ups
- Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas during team brainstorms
- Be located in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh and visit vendors on a regular basis to support vendor development and production alignment
- Provide general design support across national account projects as needed
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in textile design, with some exposure to rug, pillow, or home furnishings categories
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with CAD tools is a plus
- A working understanding of embroidery designs, rug weaving patterns, or textile prints
- Eagerness to learn about the home furnishings market and U.S. retail landscape
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tasks across multiple projects
- Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude
