Role Description: Senior Manager- Buyer Relations & Industry CommunicationsLocation: On-site | New Delhi | Full-time Note: This position is being advertised under the designation Junior Merchandiser to attract candidates with relevant apparel and fashion industry experience. However, the primary responsibility of the role is Buyer Relations & Industry Communications, involving buyer outreach, stakeholder engagement, industry networking, relationship management, market intelligence gathering, and facilitating interactions between buyers, brands, manufacturers, and sourcing professionals across our media and event platforms. Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced apparel industry professional with strong buyer-facing experience and a deep understanding of sourcing, merchandising, retail, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will leverage their industry knowledge and professional network to build and maintain relationships with brands, retailers, buying houses, sourcing offices, and manufacturers while supporting our conferences, exhibitions, editorial initiatives, industry surveys, and business networking platforms.This role sits at the intersection of industry engagement, relationship management, business development support, and market intelligence. It is ideal for someone who understands the apparel value chain and enjoys interacting with senior industry professionals, identifying opportunities, and facilitating meaningful business connections.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with apparel brands, retailers, buying houses, sourcing teams, exporters, manufacturers, and industry associations
- Act as a key point of contact for buyers and industry stakeholders for conferences, exhibitions, networking initiatives, editorial projects, surveys, awards, and research activities
- Identify and engage prospective buyers and sourcing professionals for participation in industry events and business initiatives
- Facilitate business interactions and introductions between buyers and manufacturers through the company's media and event platforms
- Support buyer acquisition and retention strategies for conferences, exhibitions, and networking programmes
- Conduct outreach to sourcing heads, buying teams, category managers, merchandising leaders, and retail executives
